Dear Members,
I hope you all had an enjoyable Easter and are looking forward to spring here in Copenhagen, one of the loveliest times of year. March has been a busy month with amongst others, a fun ladies night out, a sell-out Kid's Korner Easter party, and a 'Funky Friday' that saw men invited for the first time.
There is certainly lots going on in April. The sub-groups are all busy as usual and the 2008 golf season starts. There are also some interesting one-off events this month from an exercise session for new mums to a great value spa weekend in Sweden and specially negotiated rates at the annual Baby Show. Most importantly though, April brings LINK's Annual General Meeting. This is an opportunity to meet the committee, find out a little more about LINK and have your say on the future of our network. Please stay for the reception following the meeting, where I look forward to meeting some of you over a glass of wine.
LINK provides a lifeline for many people when they move to Copenhagen. Meeting others in a similar situation gives you a feeling of belonging and allows you to feel more at home. It has been a pleasure to be the President of LINK, but after 2 years it is time for me to step down and we are looking for a volunteer to take over. In addition we are also looking for a new Treasurer as Kay will also be stepping down and we thank her for all the time she has dedicated to LINK.
We are looking forward to welcoming some new members on board.
With many best regards,
Sincerely yours,
Annika Schwenk |
