Fish and Chip Supper

Join us for an evening of good food and company. We meet on the last Friday of each month, this month being Friday November 25th. Fish and chips is a popular choice but there's also lots of other great dishes to choose from. It starts from 5pm at The Irish Rover, Vimmelskaftet 46, 1161 Kbh K next to Jorcks Passage on Strøget. When you get to the Irish Rover head upstairs where we have private use of the whole floor, and there's plenty of space for the children and lots of seating. Everything is at the bargain price of 80 DKK (except steak), with a free soft drink for children. All are very welcome, no need to RSVP, just turn up. Contact Em Andersen if you have any questions.

Funky Fridays

This month, Funky Fridays will be held at KITJN, Århusgade 14, Copenhagen Ø. Check out the website for more information. We look forward to meeting new people, and catching up with those we have not seen for a while. Come along and see what we are about!

Guided Walk

There is no better way to learn more about the City of Copenhagen and the history of Denmark than by joining our LINK Guided Walks!

Ladies' Night Out

Please join us for Ladies Night Out where old and new members mingle over libations and ethnic cuisine. Our goal is to sample an affordable city restaurant monthly. This night always proves to be lots of fun, so please join us. You won’t regret it. Please look out for information on adhoc.

Men’s Pub Night

Brian Keith, leader of the LINK men's subgroup, will organize an after-work chat, complete with beer/coffee and gentlemanly conversation. The get-together is open to spouses of LINK members and is held once a month, usually in central Copenhagen. There's no agenda, just a chance to compare notes and let off steam. If you are not already on Brian's mailing list, write to him at Brian Keith.

Movie Club

Monday, November 21 – “Niceville”/ “The Help” (2011) directed by Tate Taylor, time and cinema TBA. Based on one of the most talked about books in years and a #1 New York Times best-selling phenomenon, “The Help” stars Emma Stone (“Easy A”) as Skeeter, Academy Award®–nominated Viola Davis (“Doubt”) as Aibileen and Octavia Spencer as Minny – three very different, extraordinary women in Mississippi during the 1960s, who build an unlikely friendship around a secret writing project that breaks societal rules and puts them all at risk. From their improbable alliance a remarkable sisterhood emerges, instilling all of them with the courage to transcend the lines that define them, and the realization that sometimes those lines are made to be crossed –even if it means bringing everyone in town face-to-face with the changing times.
See the LINK newsletter for details on joining!

North Zealand

We meet at an Indian restaurant, Punjab, Kampergade 5, Axeltorv, in Helsingör. The North Zealand events are open to all members, so please come and join us! Find details in the LINK newsletter.

Out to Lunch

Join us at a centrally located Copenhagen restaurant each month for some lively chat and a delicious but affordable lunch. In November, we’ll be visiting an Indian restaurant with excellent reviews. And in December, we’ll enjoy a not-so-traditional Christmas lunch at one of Copenhagen’s best “open-faced sandwich” places.

Photography

Join the group on an informal walk led by a professional portrait and travel photographer, snap as many frames as you like, and wrap up at a cozy cafe. All that's required is a camera of any sort and a pair of walking shoes! See the newsletter to find out where to meet us for this month's Photo walk!
